woven fabric

Woven often refers to woven tarpaulin, a type of cloth formed by weaving two or more threads together. Woven fabric is everywhere, from the clothes we wear to the curtains on the windows, tablecloths and other items in the home; tarps and tents are woven fabrics as well. Because it's durable and long-lasting, this sort of material is perfect for sturdy items that see everyday use.

Woven fabric originates from threads, long strands of yarn. To make a woven piece of cloth, we take one set of threads (known as the warp) and stretch it long on a special tool called a loom. The other type of threads, called the weft, is woven in and out across the warp threads. This produces the gorgeous diamond shapes we commonly find in woven fabrics.

How Woven Fabric is Made

To create woven greenhouse film requires many different types of looms. Some are hand looms that humans use to weave fabric by hand; others are machines called power looms. Power looms are machines that weave cloth at high speed and efficiency. This enables a wide range of woven fabric designs to be created over a relatively short period of time, which allows manufacturers to create many pieces.

Having said that, there are a few pros to making woven garments. It is very durable, to begin with. So, garments made from woven fabric can withstand a lot of wear without disintegrating. This is why woven fabric is particularly recommended for clothes that you will be wearing regularly, as they will not get damaged or worn out easily.
