weed control landscape fabric

If  you  take great pride  in your garden  or outdoor space, then  you will no doubt understand the  struggle to keeping it looking neat and tidy.  This material  serves as a shield to keep weeds  from  growing  through, making  your  maintenance job less strenuous. The  installation and maintenance  of weed  control landscape fabric is as important as the material. But  there are some general problems you may run  into  or want to avoid and once you understand  how this works, it’s not hard  to sidestep  them.

First order of business is to clear the  bed  of all existing weeds before placing fabric.  Once the site  has been cleared, youcan unroll the  fabric over the soil and cut  it  to the size  or  shape of  your garden  bed or landscaping  area.  Be  sure  to  overlap the  fabric  edges so no weeds try to  come  up between any gaps.  Make sure the  fabric stays in place  by  securing it with landscape staples, or  pins  to prevent  any  movement.

How to properly install and maintain weed control landscape fabric

When  it's in place,  you should periodically inspect the  fabric for  rips or holes.  Repair any damage  you  fulfill, or the weed barrier will be lost.  And  don't forget  to  top it all off with a  layer of mulch or some other material to  keep weeds from growing  and beautify  your  space even  further.

Yet  another problem is that  if  it's not installed  correctly,  the  fabric  can kill desirable plants. To  prevent this  from overrunning  the flowers and  shrubs,  you plant in this  section  of  the  garden,  be sure to cut  holes through  it  wherever  you  want  to add  flowers or other  plants, so  they  have room to  grow  but still get some  benefit as a  weed control fabric.
